This fine tripod bowl originates from the Pre-Columbian era, spanning from Nicaragua to Colombia. Despite a small piece being broken off and some wear to the painted pattern, the bowl retains its clarity and historical significance.
Provenance: From the Ole Hammer Collection, gathered during the 1950s on travels to South America. Most of his collection is now housed in the Danish museum 'Holstebro Art Museum'.
Culture & Year: Central America, 500 AD – 800 AD.
Condition: Very good.
