Historical Context
The Indus Valley Civilization, unearthed in the early 20th century, is one of the world's oldest urban cultures. Initial discoveries at Harappa in Pakistan were followed by significant findings at Mohenjodaro and other sites, including Rakhigarhi. Despite the undeciphered script of the Indus Valley, the vast array of artifacts uncovered—including seals, figures, statues, and pottery—provides extensive insight into this ancient civilization.
